My Journey

Family Constellation Work

My name is Margot Gwin, and I first experienced Family Constellation work in 1999 in Pasadena, California. At the time, issues of disconnection and exclusion felt overwhelming and for several years I participated in many group constellations, opening a deeper connection with my soul self, my ancestors and my fellow humans. Over the next 25 years I explored many ways to continue this healing process. In the past year I have found myself returning to Family Constellation as a potent way to address hidden areas of "stuckness" and allow even deeper healing and self expression.

My Background & Specialties

I am retired from a 25-year career as a Licensed Massage Therapist, trained in Body/Mind Integrative Therapy at the Somatic Therapy Institite in Santa Fe, NM in 1990. I am a graduate of the Hakomi Psychotherapy program in Santa Fe, NM 1991-92, and am certified in WaveMaker Life Coaching in Palm Springs, CA in 2004.

I have experienced the challenges of a dysfunctional family system, family suicide loss, family mental illness, and narcissistic and cult abuse. In 2024 I received Certification as a Peer Support Specialist, and was a counselor on the New Mexico Peer-to-Peer Warmline, helping people with life challenges similar to my own.

I an now a Family Constellation Facilitator, having graduated August, 2025 from the Family Constellation 1:1 training taught by Leslie Nipps. I am continuing my education as a Family Constellation group facilitator.

My home is on a family compound in the beautiful countryside outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico. I practice meditation and writing on a daily basis, and surround myself with loving family, friends, animals, community and beautiful Nature.

I hold a deep, supportive space which allows a connected, compassionate and empathic exchange between clients and myself, while at the same time facilitating an opening for awakening to new possibilties.
